Service:Art of Primal Postures & the Deep Resting Squat - Austin change

How do you want to move when you’re 90? Do you want to be able to get up and down from the floor without pain? Pick up your grandkids and great-grandkids? Balance without the fear of falling? These abilities are basic human movement skills. Can you perform these skills now?

Art of the Resting Deep Squat - Exploring the feet, hips & spine

The deep squat is a fundamental resting human position. The ability to do a pain-free deep squat is crucial for maintaining ankle, hip, spine, and shoulder mobility; core integration and control; and pelvic floor health. It's also rather important functionally for simply getting up and down from the floor and picking up heavy things.

About these Workshops
This is the first in a series of workshops focused on exploring who we are as human movers, developing the beautiful expression of our movement practice, and embracing play for the purpose of preventing and reversing early-onset boring adult disease.

This is not an exercise class or boot camp. You WILL move, break a sweat, and quite possibly be sore for a few days, but this is not a workout. This is an educational workshop.

My goals are that you leave with tools that can be used daily to restore healthy movement function, move with less pain and injury, develop the quality of life skills to move and thrive when you're 90, and most importantly foster a community of like-minded natural human movers.

I hope that you gain a better understanding of your body, human movement, and the art of developing your own lifelong personal movement practice.

This workshop will be based off what I have learned, discovered, and experienced as an athlete; as a patient with an extensive history of chronic pain, injuries, and surgeries; as a student; and from more than 21 years as a movement coach and therapist.
